Integrating evidence with decisions at the national level
Currently, I am a Research Associate with the UK Evidence Information Service (EIS). The primary goal of the EIS is to act as a rapid matchmaker to connect the UK academic community and decision-makers (including parliamentarians) in the service of evidence-informed public policy.
During this project, I have completed placements at all four UK legislative bodies:
completed a NERC-funded Fellowship at POST to research and publish a briefing note on herbicide resistance
contributed to a long-term project to understand the use of research in the UK Parliament (with POST)
contributed to a parliamentary group exploring the barriers for under-represented groups of academics to engage with parliamentary processes (with Universities Programme at Houses of Parliament and POST)
